The Jenolan Caves, Australia's premier underground
limestone cave system is a wonderland set amongst a 2416 hectare reserve
with an incredible variety of flora and fauna that provides a wide range
of unexpected beauty, both below and above ground.
Your journey to Jenolan commences in Katoomba at 11:15am and Scenic World at 11:30am.
You then head westward along the original path the Three Explorers used to
cross the Mountains in 1813. Continue through rural farmlands and pine forests to
Jenolan Caves Reserve. The roadway reaches into the rugged, deep valley to
pass through the spectacular Grand Arch.
You will have time for one guided cave inspection
(cost included on all tours except J1), selecting from the Cave systems
open to the public. Your guide's enthusiasm for these speliological
wonders is infectious as they talk of "stalactities", "stalagmites"
and "helictites". Take in the beauty of the area by enjoying one of
the many popular bushwalks alongside the Blue Lake or through Carlotta's
Arch and the Devil's Coach house. Lunch is available at your own choice
and cost in Traill's Bistro.
